GetDataBack for FAT is an advanced data recovery tool. It only supports FAT file systems.
Deleting a file/folder removes only its entry in the FAT (File Allocation Table. The data thus present in the hard disk is overwritten only when new files are created. If your hard disk is very large or if you haven’t done any operation after deleting the file, it has a higher chance of recovery. This program is designed to recover deleted files and also data from a damaged disk. Formatted drives could also be recovered.
The program is easy to use with a wizard interface. We are given choices on the types of recovery. They are; default settings, systematic file system damage, sustained damage, recover files. Last option is for recovering deleted files and the second one to recover data from a formatted drive. I really liked the search tool which can be found in the results page. It has many filters like filename, data modified, size, search depth etc. Scanning speed is really fast compared to other data recovery programs.
We can create an image file of the disk/volume to be scanned and use this image file to do our tests later. Remote drives on a different computer can be accessed by using HDHost program which is available free-of-cost.
As the name indicates, NTFS and Linux file systems are not supported. Scanning an NTFS drive would take more time with errors in the result. Program may hang if interrupted while scanning. You must buy “GetDataBack for NTFS” which costs more for NTFS drives. Recovering files need administrative privileges.
The safe and reliable software that will recover any lost data of your Windows.
